DESCRIPTION: Vacheron & Constantin, Geneva, man's gold pocket watch, 13 jewels, key wind and set gilt bar movement with lever escapement in an 18 karat, yellow gold, reeded edge, engine turned and engraved hunting case, the pendant with split pusher for releasing front or back cover, and maker's details engraved on gold cuvette, Roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, plum colored steel Breguet style hands, serial #63174, 47mm, 73.2g TW, c1860.
CONDITION: CASE: Dents and dings; Fine scratches and minor abrasion on outer surface of case; Fine scratches and polishing wheel marks; Engine turning with moderate wear; Covers with gaps at band when closed; Cover extends beyond 90 degrees when opened, back, 95 deg.; Bow with wear; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, 11:00- 1:30, 1:30 to seconds bit, 6:00; Glued chips between 1:00- 2:00; Edge chips, 2:00, 4:00; Two small edge chips, 6:00, 9:00. HANDS: A few specks of oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor marks and scratches on plate; Bright work with a few specks of oxide; Minor toning and discoloration on plate; Specks of dirt. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
